The YouTubers watch a crazy Japanese music video that went viral called, ME!ME!ME! feat. daoko by TeddyLoid!
My exact reaction to this shit. I’m a serious otaku, but that video went straight to the “what-the-fucking-hell” zone.

the overwhelming grief of losing an entire year to sickness, violence and pandemic fatigue is settling in so id like to remind everyone that: you are not a failure, yes there is still a happy future for you, and wearing a mask is very sexy

Looks like we’re surging again at the start of 2022 so here’s a reminder as well
Don’t be hard on yourself if you are unproductive or not progressing as far in life as you thought you’d be by this point. The amount of collective trauma we are expereincing is immense and if all you did this last year was survive then you completed the hardest and most important task. Incredably sexy of you
I'm only twenty minutes into Encanto and I looked at my partner and said, "oh... oh this movie's gonna make me cry"
Julieta for Mom of the Year forever
The real miracle is that Mirabel got up all those stairs and didn't outright die
Is Luisa the oldest sibling because boy am I relating
Okay Bruno is my favorite lmao
The little girl I'm babysitting just said "I'm sad that Bruno is sad" SWEETHEART SAME
Yep. Here comes the crying.
Creative way of saving camels from getting run over
my favourite things about this video:
1) the amount of time that went into considering this approach, which is a resounding 0.00 seconds
2) the baby's screm - yes it's sad bc the poor lil guy is scared but the way his yells for momma hitch with the guy's running have me lmao ngl
3) the guy either had the incredible good fortune or the foresight to put the baby between himself and momma so he could make a break for it. it was too quick. Too deliberate and almost instinctive. He has done this before.
4) the victory skips and turban twirling.
10/10 but please for the love of god there has to be a better way camels kick people to death
AUDIO POR DIOSSSSSS!!!!
Beyond perfect 🤣👍
Dude’s got pipes
Damn he is BELTING it.
Honestly I think y'all are twisted up about "manipulation" here anyway. I don't know if it's this site or the wider American culture or what specifically but these days it seems like if you so much as tailor your phrasing to elicit a specific response, you're an evil manipulator. If you're not 100% transparent 100% of the time, same thing.
Bruh. That's effective communication.
First of all I really hope it's obvious but using words to create specific emotional responses is the entire job of a storyteller, whether they're writing a book or making a movie or just spinning an amusing post. But beyond that, it's just... Being an effective person. Making friends, applying for jobs, holding leadership positions, promoting your art... Presenting yourself favorably and thinking about what effect your words will have is absolutely central to all of that.
Parenting? Good parenting is absolutely like 70% anticipating conflicts and leading your kids around them, especially when they're young. Before age five it's massively about careful manipulation. Present then with only acceptable choices. Tell them you're going out when they're well rested. Explain necessary activities in the most favorable light possible.
Avoiding conflict until you're ready to win? Applying for grants? Telling your neighbor you're about to get bees? Yeah you better deliberately promote some points and minimize others.
The entire field of marketing is manipulation, whether it's a multinational conglomerate, or you selling plant starts at the farmers' market. Some of that is clearly evil and some, unless you're lying and saying your tomatoes are hornworm-proof, I hope we realize very much isn't.
The problem isn't in the planning for a favourable result. The problem is when the result is detrimental to the person or people you're communicating with. I really don't think it's that hard to tell which is which. Planning for a favourable result is just sense.
Neatly summarized as: people not knowing how to properly take care of cats
The episodes that don’t conform to this formula are also always the most interesting. These situations include:
1) I Didn’t Know My Cat Had PTSD and Has Gone Blind.
2) Your Cats Fight Because One of Them Doesn’t Know How to Speak Cat, and They’re Both Kinda Mad/Confused About It.
3) Your Cat Sprays Everywhere? Get Them Fixed. Surprise Twist: They Were Fixed But It Was a Botched Operation.
4) We’re Going to Rescue 50+ Kittens, Take Them to Vegas, and Adopt Them All To Loving Homes.
5) This is Not a Cat. This is a Dog.
Hang on what was number five?
